Finished primary education at Numancia Elementary School; intermediate education both at Numancia and Lezo Elementary School; secondary education at Aklan Central Institute, Makato. Her second year high school was interrupted by World War II. Her refresher course and third year high school was after the war in 1945 at Madyaas Institute, Numancia. Fourth year high school in 1946 at Aklan Academy. Attended Collegio Del Sagrado Corazon De Jesus, Iloilo, working for her ETC degree. After graduation in 1949, she was appointed temporary teacher in Lezo Elementary School and became a primary teacher in 1952. Was transferred in Numancia and taught there until 1958. Completed BSE inverted at Northwestern Visayan College. Became the pioneer teacher at Tul-ang Primary School, Ibajay. From the start of her teaching career in 1949, until she retired in 1986, music was always a subject in her teaching load. She became an intermediate teacher in grade six at Ibajay Central School, 1975 – 86. She served as a public school teacher for 32 years. Two years later after she retired from public school she taught at Ibajay Academy. |
