Finished primary education at Banga Elem. School, 1945; secondary education at Banga Rural High School, 1949; obtained ETC from Aklan College, 1951. Was called to service in 1955 and was assigned in Libacao District and in June, 1959, she was transferred to Ibajay District due to her marriage to an Ibajaynon named Magin M. Hontiveros. While in Ibajay, she taught in Barangay Naile for four years until her transfer to Ibajay Central School in 1965, teaching Grade I. She stayed until her retirement in 1991 after serving for 35 years. She is proud to be a teacher, “ for teaching is a noble profession.” |
