Nezita Yap Colangoy
June 27, 1943 – Present

Finished her primary education at Pagadian Central School; secondary education at Aklan College; obtained BSE Inv. from Northwestern Visayan Colleges; MA units at Baguio Vacation Normal School.

Started teaching in 1965 at Mina-a Primary School, Barangay Mina-a, Ibajay and a year later was transferred to Monlaque Elem. School of Barangay Monlaque, Ibajay. Was again transferred in 1967 to Aquino Elem. School where she stayed until her retirement in 1997.

Married to Jesus B. Colangoy and have 9 children; the oldest is working at Araneta Center, billing section and the youngest is a second year high school at Melchor Memorial School.

Received a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Performance and Support for the Girl Scouts, 1993-94; a Citation and Honor for Chairmanship in Fund Raising Campaign that led to the construction of a concrete aquarium and a park in Aquino Elem. School; a Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Performance and Exemplary Leadership in the Pursuit of Academic Excellence and Effective Implementation of the Program Thrust in Education, 1985-86.
