War interrupted her studies, but with its end, the schools reopened and she earned her degree in Architecture from Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila. Then she qualified for a job in the County Sheriff's department as Facilities Planning Assistant. Her desire for learning finds her time to earn a certificate in Art from Washington School of Art, Dearborn, IL. And several courses from L.A. Harbor College.

After retirement, she joined organizations and went into the media as a freelance writer and photojournalist for Asian newspapers and magazines. She is still active in community activities and does volunteer work for the Church and disabled.
