Finished primary education at Tangalan Elementary School; secondary education at Ibajay Academy; obtained her ETC from Aklan College and BSE Inverted from Northwestern Visayan Colleges.
Was married to the late Manuel R. Belayro and have three kids.
Served as a public school teacher for more than 30 years until her retirement in 1992 at the age of 65.
