A widow, a native of Ibajay, Aklan, was born to an illustrious family. Was a dedicated public school teacher. After finishing her Elementary Teacher Certificate at Colegio de San Jose, Iloilo, she continued to study and earned 27 MATEA units. For the past 41 years, she gave her best to the teaching profession as exemplified by her promotion to Master Teacher I and as Home Economics Coordinator of the Ibajay District until her retirement.
Today, she is known in the province as the mother of the Governor of Aklan and in the very near future as the mother of the Congressman of the Lone District of Aklan.
