Completed grade 7 th in 1934; secondary education at Ibajay Academy, 1939; college at National Teacher’s College Manila, 1946.
Her first teaching was in Agdugayan Primary School and consequently transferred to Naile, Sta. Cruz, Tagbaya and Agbago Elementary School where she retired. She taught for 36 years.
Nanay Vita as they called her, was married to the late Ex-Councilor Julian “Juling” Coching Solidum.
