Finished primary education at Barotac Viejo Iloilo Elementary School; secondary education at Ibajay Academy; college education at Southern Baptist College where he obtained BSE Ed; Masteral degree at Western Aklan Polytechnic College.
Served for 30 years as a primary and intermediate teacher; promoted to Principal I and then retired.
As a soldier, he received War Services Awards; Anti Dissident Medal and Ribbon; United Nation – Medal and Ribbon; Korean Campaign – Medal and Ribbon; Philippine President Unit Citation; Korean President – Medal and Ribbon; Boy Scout of the Philippines Bronze Service Award.
